Working ‘under the boss’ is a jinx; working on one’s own, a godsend. The ‘boss’ commands, manages, gives orders and the others, the ones ‘below’, have to work. The boss doesn’t, he just goes through the budgets, attends events, travels, signs ‘big contracts’ and – above all – boasts an income with many, many zeros.
